Macaque Mother and Baby
This Long-tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis) mother holds her infant close against her chest, one arm wrapped protectively around it. I photographed them in primary rainforest at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in Singapore, during a quiet trail encounter in May 2024. This original photograph is available in a variety of formats, from wall art to gifts.
The infant's wide eyes look directly out from the shelter of its mother's arm, while she keeps watch over the forest beyond. Soft browns and greens fill the space around them, holding the focus on this quiet, protective bond.
