This original wildlife photograph captures a wild Long-tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis) mother and infant at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, one of Singapore's last remaining pockets of primary rainforest. The mother sits on the forest floor with her infant tucked safely beneath her arm, her gaze steady and watchful while the baby looks out from the shelter of her body, wide-eyed and new to the world.

Each fine art photography print is made to order in my Henniker, New Hampshire studio on archival fine art paper or dye-sublimated high-gloss aluminum. Sizes range from 4x6 desk accents up to 24x30 statement walls. Metal prints arrive ready to hang with Command strips. Paper prints arrive ready for framing in any standard frame.

About this Photo

Wildlife photography earns its place on the wall when it captures behavior most people will never witness in person. This image was made in primary rainforest, not at a zoo, and the difference matters. A wild macaque mother holding her infant in the quiet green of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, not a staged moment, not an enclosure, not a captive subject. The kind of intimate primate portrait that is genuinely rare in the wildlife print market.

This print is available in two finishes for different rooms and styles. Choose archival fine art paper for a soft, classic gallery presentation that pairs beautifully with natural wood, white-washed, or sage green frames in nurseries, reading rooms, and nature-inspired bedrooms. Order it as a metal photo print on dye-sublimated high-gloss aluminum for sleek tropical color depth and luminous fur detail, ideal for modern offices, libraries, and contemporary wildlife galleries.

The Long-tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis), also called the Crab-eating Macaque, is a small social primate native to Southeast Asia. The species is distinguished by a tail longer than its body, intelligent group behavior, and complex social bonds, particularly between mothers and infants. Long-tailed Macaques live in troops of 20 to 50 individuals across forests from Myanmar to Indonesia.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve protects one of Singapore's most important remaining forest habitats, an ancient pocket of primary rainforest surrounded by a modern city. This mother and infant were photographed during a quiet trail encounter in May 2024. Original fine art wildlife photography from Linda Nee, ready to hang as nursery wall art, primate gallery photography, conservation-minded decor, or a meaningful piece for any animal lover's home.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a metal print and a fine art paper print?

Metal prints are sublimated directly onto heavy-gauge aluminum, meaning the dye is permanently infused into the metal surface itself. The result is a high-gloss, frameless print with vivid, luminous color that is fully waterproof, fade-resistant, and scratch-resistant.

Fine art paper prints are produced on museum-grade archival paper with a premium luster finish, rated to last over 100 years without fading or yellowing. They arrive unframed and sized to fit standard frames.

Metal works beautifully in modern, high-traffic, or moisture-prone spaces. Fine art paper suits classic interiors and gallery-style walls where you want a traditional framed look.

Are your photographs original or AI generated?

Every photograph in this shop was taken by Linda Nee, with professional camera equipment. No AI generation, no stock photography, no compositing. What you see is exactly what she captured in the field.

Where are the prints made?

All prints are produced in Linda Nee's studio in Henniker, New Hampshire. Every order is personally reviewed and quality checked before it ships. Both metal and fine art paper prints are made in the USA, to order, just for you.

What sizes are available?

Prints are available in sizes ranging from 4×6 up to 20×30 inches. Available sizes vary by photograph, as some images are not offered in the largest sizes to ensure the print quality meets our standards. Select your preferred size on each product page to see what is available.
