This Puma (Puma concolor) was lying across the trail at SCP Corcovado Wilderness Lodge on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula when I came across it in May 2024. It stayed completely at ease, giving me time to photograph it close. This original photograph is available in a variety of formats, from wall art to gifts.
Golden-green eyes look straight into the camera, unhurried and direct. Tawny gold fur, long white whiskers, and a white chin stand out against the sandy ground, the background blurring into warm earth tones behind it.
