While in Costa Rica I enjoyed seeing over 20 hummingbird species! I am from NH and we only have one, the Ruby-throated Hummingbird, so it was a big treat!
Lesser Violetears are found in the central highlands of Costa Rica and Panama, and south through the Andes from Venezuela to northwestern Argentina.
