Baby Long-tailed Macaque
This Long-tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis) is still in its early infant stage, with the dark natal coat all babies of this species are born with. I photographed it at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, a pocket of ancient rainforest in Singapore, as it tested its grip on a tree trunk for the first time. This original photograph is available in a variety of formats, from wall art to gifts.
One small hand presses flat against the bark, fingers spread wide for balance. Its eyes are wide and alert, its ears still pale and bare. The soft green of the forest blurs behind it, keeping every bit of attention on this one quiet, curious moment.

Baby Macaque Climbing Tree Photography Note Card
Watching a baby animal discover the world for the first time is the kind of moment that makes a note card feel universal. Original Singapore wildlife photograph of a young Long-tailed Macaque exploring tree bark — perfect for new baby cards, encouragement notes, and milestone messages.
This original wildlife note card features a baby Long-tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis) climbing a fallen tree trunk at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in Singapore. Tiny fingers gripped the rough bark while wide eyes focused on something beyond the frame. For a few seconds, curiosity outweighed caution. There is something universally relatable about watching a young animal discover the world for the first time.
I print every 5 x 7 note card in my Henniker studio on heavyweight Red River Linen cardstock, holding the soft baby fur detail, the bark texture, and the warm green rainforest background. Each card ships flat with a matching envelope and protective sleeve, ready to send as a greeting card for a new baby, milestone, encouragement, or thinking-of-you message.
